Thank you in advance for any support or help. I did not installed the Canon Scan on the ASUS Netbook. The same problem is happening with another PC (an ASUS Netbook, Windows 7 Ultimate), but there is a different message: “Adobe Acrobat” at the top of the new window and the following message => “Multiple scanner drivers detected. I forgot to mention that I am using a VAIO i7 laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate. What is the problem? Is there a missing driver? How can I fix it? I can scan normally using a Canon Scan connect through the USB. I can scan using Microsoft Paint normally. The printer is on and connected through the wireless.
An error message appear in a new window: at the top it says “ScanGear” than there is a message stating “it is not possible to communicate with the scanner, the cable is disconnected or the scanner is off, verify the status, the scanner’s driver will be closed”. I tried creating a PDF from within Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.
I think I am experiencing the same problem.

I was on Chat with Adobe for an hour this morning which solved a problem with the account, due to an old e-mail address, - but they were not able to solve this problem and linked me to this forum. I was very happy to receive this last message and believed that everything now was OK, but next time I started Adobe 8 pro I received the same old messages to register the product – Conenction failure etc “Thank you” We appreciate your taking the time to activate this copy of Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 professional.” I have tried this several time and a few days ago i finally received the message Please make sure you’re connected to internet and have Javascript enabled in your PC X – We are unable to connect to Adobe to register your product When trying again I receive following message Retry activating over internet or adjust your internet connection. I have an old version of Acrobat Reader 8 Professional which i have brought forward to new PC’s several time, -always deactivating the program on the old PC before new installation.Īs I’m retired and only use the program for a few special purposes (OCR, splitting pdf’s etc,) as nonpaid work for charity organisations, I have tried to forward my 8 pro version also to my new Windows 10 laptop, and it works, but when i’m asked to register the program I get following messages although both Internet and Javascript is OK.
